DARCY: Not really all that eventful today. Darcy digs Leverage as much as I do now. She ended up staying up late with me to watch the rest of Season 2. Other than that, she's past the weekend sickness and her focus is back on the trip.

MY KIDS: Dallas is becoming quite a crack-up. His phrasings and joking nature show that he'll be quite a jokester as he grows up! Talked with Madeleine and Haley tonight about meeting during the trip. Everything is looking good!

FAMILY & FRIENDS: RD came over and picked up the left overs from the yard sale to take to Goodwill. He's pretty awesome. I had planned on doing it tomorrow, when Darcy was off, but RD is the type that likes to get 'er done. Mom came by for a brief visit. She's having trouble with her feet swelling, water retention. We'll probably see her tomorrow. I like that she's laughing a lot more these days.

BIG FOUR: Maybe I was young and a desperate sucker for any sci-fi television, but I can't help but feel a tinge of excitement for what I discovered comes out August 10th. Spokesman for "New Coke" and star of his own series, for the first time on DVD I present to you... Ma-Ma-Ma-Max Headroom! When I was younger I was fascinated with this show. I never actually saw it broadcast. I had the VHS tape, though, and played it a lot. It's still strange for me to see Matt Frewer in parts other than this character. He is funny on Eureka, but it's just not the same. Then again, it could be that I haven't seen the show in so long, that my youth made it that much better.
(Sort of like Death Race 2000. For some reason you remember it to be this awesome violent show with Sly Stallone. Then you have a bunch of friends over for the premiere of the DVD, and you see what a piece of crap it actually was the whole time. Not...that that ever happened to me.)

So I finished Leverage season two before the time ran out. 28 episodes in 4 days. It was worth it, though. Good show, with the exception of some character changes in the last part of season 2. Other than that, the con games didn't get redundant, and there were plenty of surprises to keep this Birthday Boy from blowing out the candles early. Now I can get back to spreading out my entertainment a bit. It's been awhile since I've been able to buckle down with a book, and I'm trying to review my music before the trips (regular music before the trip with Darcy, and Oldies music before the Graceland trip with Mom).

RANDOM INTERNET: If the music you're listening to is getting a bit stale, here's a site that's awesome to help clear the palate a bit.

These are pictures I've taken over the years that I'm particularly proud of. My attempt at showing off an artistic side....
