DARCY: Today Darcy had off, and she inspired me to clean clean clean. Things have been such a mess in our room because everytime we'd clean elsewhere, the extra little stuff ended up in our room to "put away later". So, later has come. We had to wait for AT&T all day, so what better time to get to cleaning, eh? We packed for our trip first, though. Darcy is super-excited, so I thought she may like to pack today. True, we still have nearly 4 weeks, but it brought a smile to her face, and that's what matters. She was a bit upset with me this morning cause I slept in on her day off. Hopefully I made up for it.
MY KIDS: Got to talk to Haley today to fix the plans with Madeleine. Nothing set yet, but we'll come up with something. Haley's been great about helping make this happen. Hopefully we can set it up for Madeleine to have dinner with Kim and Gary after our big day. Madeleine loves meeting everybody!
In the cleaning, I found a frame I'd been looking for that I'd gotten awhile back, 7 slots for 7 kids (sounds like a musical). Now if I could only get some recent pictures of Jacob and Emily.... On the other hand, Darcy took some AWESOME shots of the kids that I just have to post.
FAMILY & FRIENDS: Mom visited today, brought us chocolate milk. Yum. It's always a pleasure to see Mom. She gave me a ride to the library so I could check out The Shack. I may try to read it twice so as to absorb it that much better. Darcy is going to read it too so she can get in on the discussion with Kim.
BIG FOUR: Plan on starting The Shack tonight. Can't really comment yet cause all I've looked at is the cover, but my sister seems to love it.
Didn't get to too much TV today, with all the cleaning. One episode of Bones. What a shame. Not even an hour of TV! Darcy mentioned Avatar, but it just wasn't right for it yet...
RANDOM INTERNET: Check this site out. This crazy rabbit goes after your cursor! You can shake him off, but be careful, he holds on tight....

I have something new for the blog. Darcy and I were talking about our different decorations and thought it would be interesting to put little bits of our home on here! So, without further delay, I bring you....
For our first entry, we have the bathroom door, in all it's adventurous glory....
Going in for a closer look, you can see that the pictures on the sides of the door are small replicas of the Indiana Jones movie posters, in the 3D Lenticular prints. Of course the camera doesn't pick up the 3D effect. That's an adventure you have to experience in real life....
And the little figure that stands on the top of the door frame is a poor Storm Trooper who escaped the destruction of the Death Star, but ended up being fired over a fight he had with an Imperial Guard. Seems the Storm Trooper's wife divorced him for this Guard, and after a 3 day drinking binge, he "stormed" in during the arrival of the Emperor (in Return Of The Jedi) and beat the Imperial Guard senseless. So now we yell up to this drunk divorced out-of-work Storm Trooper, "Don't jump!"
